ETMI organized an Energy Café at the “Charles Telford Erikson” Professional School, as part of the Powering Citizens project. This activity created a safe and informal space for open dialogue on the challenges of energy poverty and everyday energy use.
Through guided conversations, group work, and participatory exercises, participants shared personal experiences, reflected on their role as energy users, and explored practical ways to save energy and use it more sustainably. The exchange of ideas encouraged peer learning and strengthened awareness of how individual actions can contribute to improved energy well-being.
As a result of the Energy Café, participants:
Gained a clearer understanding of energy poverty and its local impacts
Identified practical solutions for managing energy use more efficiently
Increased their confidence to make informed and sustainable energy choices
