POWERINGCITIZENS Athens Training Course | March 31, 2025
On Monday, 31 March 2026, INZEB hosted the POWERINGCITIZENS Athens Training Course at Impact Hub Athens. The event brought together young changemakers, including students, activists, or young people passionate about climate justice and social equity, for an interactive and hands-on training that focused on tackling energy poverty in their local communities.
The session provided participants with practical tools and essential skills to engage with vulnerable groups, conduct community mapping, and collect local energy data. The attendees were informed on:
- The complex roots and daily impact of energy poverty
- The current energy landscape and why it matters
- How public engagement can drive real change
- The tools to design policy solutions and action plans that are both innovative and inclusive
Participants left the session with a clearer understanding of the challenges, as well as the strategies to contribute to the solution, including communication, policy design, and community engagement skills. The session marked a significant step toward empowering young people in their efforts to combat energy poverty in the local level.
Participant received a Certificate of Attendance, recognising their active engagement and participation.
